Type of Dangerous Automobile Drivers

Car accidents are one of the major causes of death and injuries in our modern age. There are many things that influence the risk of being involved in a car accident: The type of the car, the condition of the road, and the human factor, which is the biggest influence of all. In the USA the top three reasons that cause accidents due to dangerous behavior of the driver are: drivers who speed, driver who talk on the cell phone while driving, and drivers who come from Israel.

There hundred years ago, we wouldn’t dream about getting from Austin to Houston in 3 hours; it probably would have taken 3 days, but for some drivers 65 miles/hour is not enough. They don’t mind risking their life just to save few minutes. Sometimes they even do not hurry; they just enjoy driving fast with their new sports car. The worse ones buy a radar detector so they won’t be caught by the police.

How many times has it happened to you that you almost hit someone while talking on the cell phone? I must admit it happens to me all the time, but I still do it. Drivers talk on the cell in spite of the risk, because it is so convenient to use the time you are driving to talk to your friends.

The most dangerous drivers in the USA are the ones who come from Israel. The reason for that is: they have a collection of all the worst driving habit that you can ever imagine. First, they drive fast while talking on the phone. Second, they do not care about traffic laws, but they seem to remember the traffic laws only when it is in their favor. Finally, they do not maintain their car well; therefore, it is really an environmental risk to drive near them.

Throughout the history of the automobile, many lives have been lost due to accidents. Most of them have been caused by dangerous drivers who do not care about safety. But it seems that only in Texas people understood that, instead of trying to educate the drivers, all they need to do is to drive with a big SUV. All around Texas you can see big cars that would protect the driver in case of an accident.
So, before you go out on the dangerous roads think about it, watch your speed, put down your phone, and look out for cars with “I love Tel-Aviv” bumper sticker. Or, better yet, trade in that Honda Civic for a Hummer.

How to Make Humus

One of the ancient appetizers in the Middle East is Humus. This appetizer has been eaten since 5000 years ago. At the beginning, it was a dish that only the royal family could afford, because the recipe was known to only a few rich people in Jerusalem. 2000 years ago, the emperor of Rome, Julius César, went to conquer Jerusalem in an excuse of a holy war, but the real reason for this crusade was to capture the chef who held the secret recipe and release it to the world. Today I will share with you the way Humus needs to be made, but I promise you will not need to conquer Jerusalem to enjoy this wonderful dish.
First, you will need to make sure you have all the ingredients, because timing is crucial. At the moment you will start making the Humus, you shouldn’t stop or delay in any step, or the soul of Julius Cesar will haunt you. You will need to have a can of Garbanzo beans, garlic, lemon, salt, Tahini sauce and virgin olive oil.
Some of the ingredients you can find in any grocery store, but the Tahini Sauce and the Virgin olive oil have to come from a special and secret place, in order to make sure they will be blessed by a religious person who had fasted for two days before preparing them. In Austin, you can find them north to the capitol in a small spice store. You will recognize the old seller by his 6 fingers in his right hand. If you will not buy it from him, the combination can produce a deadly dish that will kill you after 12 hours.
Finally, you need to put the Garbanzo beans in pot with water for a night. This will extract all the demons from them and will make them soft and safe. Put all the ingredients to the mixer. Mix it for 7 minutes and then put it in the refrigerator for 23 minutes.
Now, when it is ready, you can enjoy the best food the Middle East has to offer.
Of course you can’t tell anyone that you got the recipe from me. Preparing this dish is at your own risk; I will deny any connection to this recipe if something happens.

Bon appetite

Disney’s Black Skin Princess

A new animated movie, which has started to be produced by Disney co., has also started some controversies and disagreements among the critics with regards to the racial stereotypes. The movie, which was supposed to be called “The Frog Princess,” tells the story of Maddy, an African- American princess. The plot takes place at New Orleans in 1920.
The critics protest against the racists implies all along the movie. Foe example, the black skin princes is presented as a slave, who works for a spoilt, rich, white girl. Her name associated to black skin slave’s women’s nickname: “mammy”, at that period. In addition, there are some implies to the woodo tradition who present according the critics primitive way of life among the African – American society in the U.S.
Even though I can absolutely understand the criticism about the movie, I have also some remarks to think about. As a Jewish person and a woman, I recognize and deal with stereotypes almost every day. However, I think the stereotypes should be broken by revealing them. They are here, everywhere among us, and we should not bury them in the sand or ignore them. They are part of our life and it should be important for us to deal with them. In my opinion, the Disney movie is doing exactly what a normative society should do. It makes us talk about stereotypes, deal with them and express our feelings about them.
Dealing with society problems like racism has no other way but to talk about. We all ought to be aware to the dangerous if we will keep ignore them and pretend they are not here. After we will break them by deal with them, we hopefully will be in the right way to a better and justify world.

In The Name of Freedom of Expression

On February 11th, Fox News Radio hosted one of the most popular radio guys of America: Tom Sullivan. In his show, Sullivan took a call from one of his listeners who maintained to found similar outlines between one of the candidates for President of the United States: Barack Obama and the dictator Adolf Hitler. Regards to Obama speeches he claimed: “It harkens back to when I was younger and I used to watch those deals with Hitler, how he would excite the crowd and they'd come to their feet and scream and yell.” Sullivan seems to like that point: “wow, yeah, yeah”, he said enthusiastically and added: “I understand your point Ron, you’re absolutely right. The details will have to come out.”
To make this point stronger, Sullivan juxtaposed Hitler’s and Obama’s speeches. During the speeches Sullivan yelled and screamed in aim to mimic the crowd’s behavior. To the next listener, an American black man who argued against that comparison, Sullivan reaction was humiliating. He scoffed the listener saying he wouldn’t play those tapes again, and then he said: "Can I, please, one more time? Just one more time? Then I won't do it again. ... Until the next time."
I’ve always was a big supporter of the freedom of expression and I hold the opinion this is an important democratic tool that must be exists in any country all over the world. Still, in my viewpoint, some people didn’t find yet the different between slander and right use of it. That tape is an important example for how low can people get in the name of freedom of expression.
If we ignore for a while from the insulting of that comparison and look beyond of it, there is no basis in this argument. Examination of both sides speeches based on criteria like body language and rhetoric shows the big different between Hitler and Obama and beyond of all we must remember that Hitler based his “master race” by violent and cruel ways. He was a murder and a tyrant whom responsible for the most traumatic scar for the Jewish people. That scar will never stop to bleed.
As a Jewish and a human being this comparison was very difficult for me to hear. I don’t think that any person or politician can be compare to the devil named Hitler much less Obama. Obama acts like every other politician, so do they all can be compare to Hitler? I don’t think so. His supporter’s enthusiasm just can imply that he has the right skills for being a good leader.
In the future, I hope people will be smart enough to use freedom of expression carefully without make a bad feeling and to wake hard memories. We must all remember that the freedom to speak loud our thoughts doesn’t let us the permission to humiliate, insult and make people heard.

How to Study?

There is nothing more depressing then studying hard without any good results. Ask yourself: Are you study well? Do your grads satisfy you? If the answer is no, you might find this short guide helpful for you. Try some of the following advices in this studies guide and a great success is guaranteed.
The first role you should remember when you prepare to your tests is: time is important for you. We tend to waste our time in many creative ways instead use it as a main tool to succeed. That way your first step will be to manage your time. Education is your key to your future success. That’s why you’d better spend more time on studies then any other activity. Some researches show that the average study time should be 40 hours per week (including your class hours). This is quite a lot of time so you might consider making a list of priorities to find out what is more important to you, and how much time it’s taking from you each day. For example: if you are working in a full time job, you ought to ask yourself whether you really need the money, or it’s just an extra for your spoiled life style. If you can afford giving up some job hours, do it. You will gain your time investment in the future. Another movie or new jeans won’t help you to earn you future salary.
After reconsider your list of priority, this is the time moving to the next level: time at class; Check yourself by asking: “what am I doing on class time? It will help you to know if you are wasting time at class or not. Try to be super concentrated in class time. Listen to your professor and take some important notes. Never use your classmate’s notes! Do it by yourself! After taking them, you should reread your notes when you come back from school. It should help you to implement the material.
The next important step is to work in a clean and organize place. Take a look at your desk. How does it look like? If your desk is dirty and massy, you’d better start organize it. It could reduce the pressure and let you work in a peaceful environment. It surely could make your studies easier and helps you avoid unnecessary irritations. In addition you should pick a quite studies environment. If your own house is too noisy for you, you ought to pick another place to learn at, like the public library.
The last principle regards to your body. The old Greeks used to claim that “a sound mind in a sound body” is the optimum condition. Do you listen to your body? Healthy food, lot of water, good night sleep and some sport exercise should help you stay concentrated and could make your mind clear.
Keeping all of those studies skill tools, could give you real advantages in the whole study process and should increase your grads. Remember the basic rules: time (in class and home), good studies environment and taking care of your body in the way to the great secede.

Does high degree education like PhD will make you happy?

These days, most of the young people go to university for many years with hope to have a wealthy future. They or their parents are willing to invest lots of money to achieve their career goals. I think that this is a mistake; the times that every one who has a bachelor degree earn lots of money are over. I think having a high education like PhD will make you earn less money less smart and less happy then to choose a career that doesn’t require high education.

Having a PhD might give you the illusion that you earn lots of money but actually in a life time you will make less money than working in a area that do not require college degree. The reason for this is that in order to have a PhD you probably spent 10 year at the university. At that time you almost didn’t work and if you did, it was as a student earning a minimum salary. In addition, you paid lots of money to finance your degree.
So now you are 30 years old looking for your first real job. You will probably work for few years for minimum salary just for gaining the experience and then you will have something like 10 years to make real good money. But after you turn 45, your career will start to roll down. As you can see in today’s High Tech companies, they earn lots of money, but you rarely see any people older then 50. After 50 years old most of them have to change a career to one they probably could have when they were 20 years old without wasting their best 10 years of life in college.

Having a PhD gives us the illusion that a person is smart and educated, but if you really think about it, the moment a person enters the university he becomes less smart, less creative and usually understands only in the narrow field he chooses to specialize.
For example, Albert Einstein was a sick kid, therefore, he missed lots of school and he said that this is what kept his creativity and didn’t narrow his thought to the way all other people were taught to think.
In the 10 years that you are busy specializing in a specific subject you almost don’t have time to read about other areas. Most of the people that surround you have the same topic of interest, so you barely meet other people that could open your mind and your curiosity to other subjects.
People pursue a high education hoping to be happy in life by making more money and being more educated. They are wrong!
I have already explained above why they will be less smart and have less money; in addition to that, they will probably have a less happy family life. Most of the educated people do not have time to start a family before they turn 30, while the uneducated people have kids from the time they are 20 while they are still strong and can really enjoy them. Uneducated people have more kids because they have time to bring them.
When they are older the uneducated people enjoy a big family that takes care of them, while the educated ones have no more then 2 kids that probably do not stay close to them and do not care about them because they were taught that what is important is life is career and not family life.
For conclusion, the only ones who gain from your high degree education are the universities that charge you tons of money to sell you the fake dream that education leads to happiness. This wasn’t true 30 years ago because then only few very talented people went to university. But today you can see colleges and universities more then MacDonald branches. As my father has always told me, “When everybody buys stocks sell and when everybody sells buy.”
